Absolute Magnetics Corp. has the answer to scale depositsBy Micki Brown Absolute Magnetics Corp. has two companies under its umbrella -- Clear Water Solutions and Fuel Tool Co. -- both centered on products from Mag-Tek Inc. The corporation offers direct sales and is developing a distributor dealer network.
Clear Water Solutions offers a new and effective weapon for conditioning household water, whether is be used for drinking, cooking, showering or the landscape. Much of the water piped into homes and businesses contains a significant amount of minerals and compounds that cause clogged pipes; reduced water pressure; deposits on faucets and shower heads; spotted and milky clouds on glassware and silverware; poor sudsing of soaps, detergents and shampoos; crusted rings in toilet tanks; water heater inefficiency; and dry skin and dandruff. When hard water scale builds up in heat exchangers, cooling towers and boilers, the results are higher energy costs, increased chemical usage, expensive down time for maintenance, and negative environmental impact of chemical and waste disposal. All of these problems can be eliminated through a process called magneto-hydrodynamics. Mag-Tek uses very strong "Rare Earth Magnets" to create a powerful magnetic field for water to pass through. This magnetic field breaks up molecular complexes carried in the water and frees the captive mineral particles. These particles act as crystallization centers, giving surrounding mineral molecules something to "stick" to rather than forming layers of scale on the inside of plumbing and appliance surfaces -- a process known as magnetic fluid conditioning. The results -- prevention of scale build-up, improved water flow, increased water heater and appliance efficiency, extended life of plumbing and appliances, and sparkling fresh water -- all at a cost less than traditional water softeners, is non-polluting, and without adding anything to the water such as salt. In some cases even replacing a water softener. Mag-Tek conditioners can be used in conjunction with reverse osmosis (RO) systems, which helps to extend the life the RO membrane. What magnetic conditioning doesn't do: Remove minerals from the water -- it changes the physical state of the minerals preventing them from forming scale deposits; or add sodium chloride -- therefore it does not elevate sodium levels (linked to a variety of health problems), nor does it create a nasty salt brine, which contaminates sewer and septic systems. Cost savings can be seen in a variety of ways -- extended life of plumbing pipes and fixtures; increased appliance efficiency, which lowers energy bills; no ongoing costs associated with traditional water softeners; swimming pools and spas require less chlorine, clarifiers and purifiers; and by using less soap, shampoos and detergents. The Fuel Tool Co. utilizes Mag-Tek fuel conditioners that works on diesel systems in much the same way that the water conditioning system works on water. The contamination that occurs in diesel and other organic fuels include bacteria, fungi, yeast and mold that feed on the fuel, and create sludge that clogs filters, fuel injectors and settles in storage tanks. The Mag-Tek fuel conditioner breaks the microbes apart, allowing them to pass through the filter in into the combustion chamber where they are burned with the fuel. The results include up to 30-percent better emissions; up to 10-percent better fuel mileage; extends the life of engines and fuel filters; and reduces down time and costly maintenance. The Fuel Tool Co. is also an authorized distributor for the Southwestern U.S. for Algae-X fuel conditioners. Look for Absolute Magnetics Corp. in outside booth #28 near the main gate at the Home, Recreation & Lifestyle Show, where they will be raffling a free whole-house water conditioning unit; and daily raffles for a "Magnetic Drink Tamer."
